Your Guide to Off-Snow Activities in and around Thredbo

A great Thredbo holiday isn’t only measured in vertical metres. Some of the best memories come from the rest days, the afternoon spent soaking in a hot tub, the trout hatchery picnic, the karaoke night that ran a little too late. The Snowy Mountains region has a surprising amount going on once the skis come off, and much of it is just a short walk or drive from Boali Lodge.

Whether you’re nursing tired legs, waiting out the weather, or simply want to mix things up, here’s our locals’ guide to making the most of your off-snow time this season.

Get the Blood Pumping

If you’re not ready to slow down, there’s plenty on offer to keep the adrenaline going without a pair of skis.

Thredbo Leisure Centre

Just an 800m walk from the lodge, or one stop on the free shuttle bus, the Leisure Centre is the easiest win for a change of pace. Facilities include:

  • Swimming pool and waterslide
  • Inflatables and rock-climbing wall
  • Pickleball, squash and table tennis
  • Gym, boxing and trampoline lessons

Airbag & Trampoline Sessions at NTSC

Head 30 minutes down the valley to Jindabyne for the National Snowsports Training Centre (NSTC), where acro trampoline and airbag sessions are open to the whole community. Scenic Drives

Some of the best views in the Snowies come from behind the wheel.
