Why Go Early (or Stay Late)?

June is when the season finds its feet, especially if its anything like 2025. The lifts are (usually) running, the snow is fresh, and the lodge is warm.

September is something else again. The days are longer, the light is golden, and if the snow gods have been kind, there’s still excellent skiing to be had. It’s the season for guests who know Thredbo well enough to appreciate it at its most relaxed.

No one can guarantee snow at any time during ski season. But in the unlikely event it is light-on, there is always plenty to do on and off the mountain: from the Alpine Coaster, to Backcountry tours, fireworks, the September Kids Snow Festival and a long list of events to keep you entertained.

Either way, you’re staying at Boali, which means all your meals are sorted, there’s a fire worth gathering around, and the kind of company that makes a ski trip memorable.
