The Winter 2023 Opening Weekend promises to be no exception. The resort has a jam-packed schedule of events and activities to keep visitors entertained. And what better way to start the season than with the opening weekend festivities?
Thredbo Resort is all set to welcome visitors promising an unforgettable experience for all, both on and off the snow! Here’s what you can expect from the opening weekend:

Kicking off a massive winter of Après, Heineken Saturday returns to set the standard for plenty of good vibes on Saturday, June 10, at the Alpine Bar.
Featuring pop duo Kinder that will have you grooving and moving to the tune of their music! Make unforgettable memories with your friends and loved ones while witnessing the enchantment of live music!

Raise a glass of champagne to welcome the winter season in Thredbo’s unique style! Attend the G.H. Mumm Long Lunch on Sunday, June 11th. The event will kick off with canapes and G.H. Mumm drinks at the village square, followed by a delectable customized lunch prepared by an executive chef at the Kosciuszko Room or Cascades.
As the weekend draws to a close, the Alpine Bar will keep the party going with funky tunes from DJ Griddy at the post-Long Lunch after-party. So put on our dancing shoes and celebrate the start of winter with a bang!

Whether you are a skier, snowboarder, or passenger, enjoy riding state-of-the-art on Australia’s only alpine Gondola and see the picturesque of the stunning Snowy Mountains from the top.

8:30 am – 4:00 pm for skiers and snowboarders
11:00 am – 3:00 pm for scenic passengers

Kenji, a world-renowned ice sculptor, has returned to create stunning winter art by carving exquisite designs. His expertise lies in crafting hand-crafted traditional ice sculptures, and he has already produced numerous breathtaking pieces for previous opening weekends.
