Thredbo’s newest attraction – the Alpine Coaster – is now open, with resort guests making the most of it over opening weekend.

The exciting new Alpine Coaster offers a 1.5km ride through the stunning alpine environment. With a mix of uphill and downhill sections, tunnels, bridges, and loops, the coaster caters to both thrill-seekers and leisurely riders, with speeds reaching up to 40km/h!

It is the southern hemisphere’s first-ever year-round alpine coaster, so visitors to Thredbo will be able to enjoy the thrills whenever they visit – summer, winter and everything in between.

It’s located near the Merritts Gondola so it’s just a short walk from Boali Lodge.

Children as young as 3 can enjoy the ride by doubling up with a responsible adult over 15 years old.  For independent riders, the minimum age is 8 years old and a minimum height of 135cm is required.
